It's clear that for Ashley, being a guide is not just a job but a passion. I was lucky to have him as a guide not only for his vast knowledge of the great biodiversity of Uganda, but also for the excellent human being he is. He conveys passion when he talks about the immense beauty of his country. Polite and tireless, one of those people I thank life for letting me meet.

We had the great pleasure of having Arshley Brian as our guide during a 12 day trip through Uganda (Kidepo, Murchison, Semliki, Kibale, QE). His depth of knowledge of birds is incredible. However, his interest and expertise goes far beyond that. His broader knowledge on climate, plants, landscape and local communities puts all the observations we made in a much richer context. Arshley was also just a simply great person to be with during a trip. His enthusiasm is contagious even for those in my family who were not avid birders. He also got on so well with my children! In short we made a new family friend. Thank you Brian!!!

I first met Arshley in May 2017. My wife and I were on a short work related tour in Uganda and had a few days for some birding. Arsley took us to Budongo and Murchison Falls NP and we were very happy with the few days we had. Not only did we see an amazing amount of birds and other wildlife, we were also blessed with the company of a very enthusiastic young man who knew just about everything we asked about and was very eager to meet our wishes. We left Uganda with a new friend. In July this year (2024) we went to Uganda again with some birding friends. When I started planning the trip I knew that we wanted Arshley to be our guide. Once again we had a fine communication about the planning and Arshley quickly understood our ideas and planned the best itinerary for us. We had a great tour through north eastern Uganda and a few sites further south. We were not disappointed. On the contrary our hopes were not only met, Arshley delivered more than we had thought possible in this part of Uganda. Our trip list was about 100 longer than I had expected. All the way we felt in the best hands not only when it came to birding. Arshley has an excessive knowledge of trees and other plants, insects, mammals, reptiles - the lot! He was also very helpful with a few other problems we met and made sure that we all had the finest experience he could give us. I can not recommend Arshley too much. On the scale of 0-5 stars I would happily give him 6. I am not coming to Uganda again without Arshley by my side. THANK YOU, ARSHIE!

Absolutely amazing guide,probably the best we have had anywhere in the world. He has incredible knowledge of all the birds,mammals and reptiles and has unbelievable eyesight often seeing birds without binoculars that we struggled to see using ours. Identifying birds by call is so important for successful birding and Arshley excelled at this and was also able to whistle in loads of species. He is very good company, extremely competent and safe driver and has a great sense of humour. I simply can't recommend Arshley too highly as a guide. We may have arrived as clients but definitely left as friends.

Arshely is an amazing birder. We had him for 10 days between bwindi and semulki and I can promise he never rested a single second to get us a good shot in good light! He is absolutely passionate about guiding. I have never seen anyone knowing so many calls or being able to find up to the weirdest spot of papyrus field near the highway to find a rare warbler!

We had the chance to make a day trip to Mabamba swamp in search of the elusive shoebill with Arshley, and we were very impressed with his in-depth knowledge of a huge variety of bird species. It took some time, and we were already thinking that we might not be lucky, but he didn't give up and kept looking. In the end, we had a fantastic sighting of the shoebill both in flight and while still. I can recommend Arshley 100% - an excellent guide with in-depth knowledge for birds, but also a wide variety of species. We are looking forward to discover more of Uganda together in our next trip there.

Arshley is our guide for Queen Elizabeth NP during 8-10 Oct 2023. He is so keen about all wildlife. We had good experiences for mammals, birds, and also nature conservation. He was at his best effort to search for good birds, we saw so many eg. Shoebill(my favorite), papyrus gonolek( so beutiful) and also he made our team very happy with leopard that we tried very hard but finally we saw him. Just to say: he is superb guide.

Just come back in Italy after my journey to Uganda, from August 17 to August 27, 2023. Arshley was with me all the time. One word to describe him: #justamazing !!! Arshley is a very passionate guy and his passion relates to birds, mammals, trees/plants, reptiles, insects and everything relates to Uganda as a Country (people, services, economy, territory, food, traditions, religion, politics, ...). It is impossible not to be mind-relaxed and safe when Arshley was with me: any doubt, any concern could be asked to him and I got immediate and fully detailed feedback! He speaks english perfectly and was patient when I did not catch at first to repeat and repeat until I got it! He his really well prepared: no bird species remained unidentified while we went through the trip! The mission was always "ON", even when I took some minutes "to relax my eyes" (not to sleep! No time for that ! :) ). Just to add another thing: he is a really good driver too! And this is not a minor skill when coming to certain Uganda off-roads or doing game-drive safari! I would really strongly recommend hiring Harsley as your guide because ypu can not find anyone better than him!! We had Arshley as our guide in Uganda to see the chimpanzees, gorillas as well as the Golden monkeys with many other side trips throughout our 9 days with Arshley. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him and his font of knowledge was infinite -be it animals, birds or flora. Arshley seems to have an amazing memory. His passion for his vocation, I feel, is second to none. He is enthusiastic, gracious and wanting to be of kind service to his clients. It made my 9 days extremely enjoyable knowing we were in safe hands as his driving skills also were exceptional. Love to do another safari with Arshley in the near future.

The past July my family and I visited Uganda, and it is there that I met Arshley Brian who succeeded in letting my family and me fall in love with the country, nature, animals, and culture. He led us successfully for all 15 days between game drives, bird-watching activities, and strange requests like picnics in the middle of nowhere showing us how he was always willing to accomplish our small desires. In my personal opinion, what stood out from Brian was his passion for what he does and his love (an extremely big love) for his country. From this passion, you can see in the way he speaks about Uganda’s landscape, strong values and attitudes follow. What amazed my family and me was the respect that he always had for animals never going too close, never tracking or chasing them, and the same love and respect for nature. I do not think those qualities should be taken for granted since they do not belong to everyone as I could see personally when I was there. Moreover, in this way, he taught us how to be part of the nature that was surrounding us. The passion that he has within him was strongly enriched by knowledge, never-ending knowledge – when there was a break he was studying or reading books - and willingness to always know more. He knows what he speaks about spanning from bird watching – he can recognize every single bird only from the sound, literally also after a few seconds- botany – my mum asked the name of every single plant she saw in Uganda and he knew the name and its benefits – history – my family and I asked so many questions about the history of Uganda both in terms of politics and culture and he always gave us in-depth explanation – wildlife – he knew all the name of the animals we saw but most impressively he could spot animals from miles away – connection and people – the last thing I would like to remark is how he is connected with the people he works with like rangers and guides valuing their job. I conclude by thanking him because my family and I could not wish for a better guide on this trip.

My parents and I have just got back after a wonderful 10-day safari tour with Arshley. Unforgettable. Our guide was keen and passionate and he knew everything about the flora and fauna of the place. Uganda is definitely rich in wonders, however been guided by a man like Arshley has made the whole experience more special and heartwarming. We have just returned from a two week tour of Uganda with Arshley and cannot rate his guiding more highly. While his knowledge about all the flora and fauna of Uganda is comprehensive he is really outstanding with the bird life and able to identify all the species from a fleeting sighting or faint call. He is also phenomenally good at anticipating where certain birds will be and can tempt them out of thick cover by imitating their calls. We had a wonderful holiday in Arshley’s cheerful and charming company, he drove us safely between and around the national parks and was an invaluable “fixer” everywhere for whom nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure to have Arshley as our birding guide during a 4 day trip in and around murchison falls NP in March 2023. He is extremely knowledgable and passionate about birding and had no problem to go above and beyond to find all the birds (and other animals) we wanted to see. His birdwatching and identification skills are truly spectacular and on top of that he just is a very friendly and fun guy to spend time with in nature. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Arshley was tireless , enthusiastic and highly skilled, providing us an experience that went over and above our expectations. Arshley accompanied us on a 3 week journey into South Sudan which was fraught with logistical problems. Each day he was positive and energetic, providing a great sense of humour in difficult moments! My first trip to Africa was to be a very special one. I was looking forward to the beautiful landscapes, wild animals and especially the birds. We had chosen Uganda mainly because of the shoebill. But Arshley Brian managed within a short time that this quaint bird with its huge beak lost importance. The passion with which Arshley showed us his country and his love for nature and his country make him a guide like no other you can imagine. His knowledge (Arshley's head is like a living nature encyclopedia!), and his hearing (Arshley recognizes every bird even by the shortest call) impressed me every day anew. I highly recommend Arshley Brian as a guide. He guided my son and I on a tour that included chimpanzee and gorilla encounters. His knowledge about his country, bird species, and plants was outstanding. Our tour included many hours of driving across various landscapes and through multiple communities. Arshley pointed out hidden gems along the way. He spotted birds and elephants that we never would have seen. We completely enjoyed our time together with Arshley. He is a lot of fun, knows great music and movies, has read incredible books, and I learned so much from him. I highly recommend Arshley and hope to travel with him again in the future.

Arshley guided two friends and myself on a memorable trip through Uganda. First of all, Uganda is incredibly beautiful and varied. And Arshley was the perfect guide to discover and explore this gem of nature. His knowledge of animals and especially birds is beyond any encyclopedia. Throughout our whole journey, he spotted well hidden animals in trees and elsewhere from many meters away - animals, which we would have missed otherwise. When it comes to birds, he is able to imitate their sounds, drawing their attention. Last but not least, Arshley is a great driver and full of fun. I would definitely travel with Arshley again.

In 2020 we designed a short trip around Green-breasted Pitta and rift endemics, led by Arshley. In addition to succeeding with the Pitta and numerous endemics, we had another 388 bird species in just 9 days, including fantastic views of Shoebill and Kivu Ground Thrush. I highly recommend Arshley, highly knowledgeable in finding the birds you want to see, but also an expert on other wildlife highlights which makes the trip even richer.

Me and my family from Spain hired Arshley for a 7 day wildlife and bird-watching trip around Uganda in December 2022. He was not only a great and very knowledagable guide, but he was also great fun to travel with. He made everyone in the trip have fun, engage and enjoy birdwatching (even if only my father and me are the true bird-lovers). I would recommend him to everyone, because he's got the most knowledge of birds, botanics and wildlife in general, but also he knows so many languages, he's got contacs and good friends everywhere he goes, and he also has a very kind heart, as we saw him give a hand to everyone he could along the road (even a couple of friends from Spain that we met in Uganda and found themselves in a tricky situation). I was reluctant to hiring a guide in the first place, but after traveling with Arshley I could't be happier with my family's decision. 10/10
